A SOUL’S LAMENT

The rains of patience fell on the land of impatience.
Detailing the havoc of nature and the aftermath of the fall.

Some days, I want to dare God,
“why put me there, God?”
I ask, seeking answers to it all.
On other days,
I just want to be there, God.

In Your embrace,
where love and peace unfold.
But I dare not, dare God,
Lest faith falters,
and fear takes hold.

In moments of turmoil,
I question Your design,
Yet, in silence, I find solace,
a heart aligned.

For though the rains
of patience pour,
I’ll wait for sunshine,
and a brighter hour.
