PEACE AND FRACTURES

Anger paves way for dark emotions,
a stormy sea, with turbulent motions.
The centre forcefully split open,
revealing depths, where pain is spoken.

A moment of patience would have solved portions,
prevented the hurt, and calm insertions.
But haste and rage took centre stage,
leaving scars, and a heart engaged.

In retrospect, we see the flaw,
a token of regret, forever raw.
For in anger’s heat, we lose our way,
and damage done, cannot be erased today.

Yet, from the shards of broken past,
we learn to mend, and forever last.
Patience and calm, we now embrace,
To heal the wounds, and find our peaceful space.

Peace must not be underrated
Peace must not be overrated.
It must have it way in the park,
for war not to create its path.
