After all the sacrifices I made
loyalty spoke a language of dishonesty and it’s shadow rebelled.
It waged war against our peaceful coexistence,
and bleached it’s true complexion, however not fair enough.
I became fed up with the concoctions it fed my already intoxicated trust,
and I was forced to dance to the unbalanced rhythms of its destructions,
which don’t resonate with me.
I became fed up with it demolishing my self defense; “Peace of mind”.
I rooted for peace like I was grounded in war.
and fought for my peace of mind.
This side of life,
choosing peace saved me from getting intoxicated with branded loyalty
and got me giving my consent to “Safety first”.
Putting myself first doesn’t paint me selfish.
In as much as I care, I deserve sanity.
