Judges show us what happens without light.
Ruth’s loyalty and love we admire,
And Samuel’s leadership takes us higher.
Kings and Chronicles show Israel’s rise and fall,
Ezra and Nehemiah rebuild the wall.
Esther’s bravery saves her people,
Job’s suffering teaches us to be humble.
Psalms are a song for every emotion,
Proverbs offer wisdom in each notion.
Ecclesiastes reminds us of life’s futility,
And Song of Solomon shows love’s beauty.
Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Lamentations,
Prophets warning of God’s indignations.
Ezekiel’s visions and Daniel’s dreams,
Major prophets reveal God’s ultimate schemes.
Hosea, Joel, Amos, and Obadiah,
Minor prophets with messages to inspire.
Jonah’s whale and Micah’s justice,
Nahum’s destruction and Habakkuk’s trust.
Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, and Malachi,
God’s word fulfilled, His promises not denied.
Then Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John,
Gospels tell of Jesus, the Holy One.
Acts show the birth of the church,
Romans through Philemon, Paul’s doctrinal search.
Hebrews, James, and Peter’s letters,
And Jude’s warning, all bound together.
Finally, Revelation, John’s prophetic vision,
Of the end of the age and Christ’s provision.
From cover to cover, the Bible is true,
God’s word, a lamp to guide me and you.
