No Permission Needed

Every little thing you do for you,
We’re told you ought to ask!
Searching scripture……,
because it’s the manual I have come to adopt,
I realise the only ask you need,
That’s the one of God.

I have been considered a deviant from a tender age,
I do not follow the order,
I am a hard head,
I just speak my mind,
I am loud, et al.
There is a lot that i have grown to hear.
So, I will tell you before you hear it when we first meet.

I would tell you what’s on my mind,
No delays.
I would not appreciate disrespect no matter who you are,
You do not gain automatic access to me,
Influential or not,
Your position does not move me,
I respect it, but it’s not intimidation.

With all due respect,
I decide;
– to be extraordinary because of God
– to be available due to humanity
– to be accountable for my mistakes
– to be outspoken because I don’t like bullies
-above all,to not be the version you wished I was for your sake.

If I asked permission from you ever?
It’s because I knew it was honourable,
It doesn’t mean you are entitled.
I am iron like lion Zion.
