Angel in words but devil in deeds.
They walk the streets
like they’re the sweetest treat.
Back straight, heads high
like a mannered guest.
But they’re nothing less
than hypocrite Pharisees.
They make promises
they can’t keep.
Making the world believe
that they’re in to care,
and honor the cares.
But the truth is,
the pain is made worse.
They say they want to
add value to your life.
Contrary to their words,
they only manage to cease
growth in your life.
They cripple you into thinking
you’re not capable on your own.
Not capable of your self-care and love,
you’re helpless and alone.
Can’t make the dream without them.
Promising to be your hero.
But in the end,
they leave you at the cross road.
When they’ve managed
to turn you into zero.
