Still, I stand

I stood at the door,

Like a ship waiting for the tide.

Eagerly anticipating,

The moment you’d arrive.

As I longed for your presence,

With each passing moment,

My patience grew thin.

Like a flower without water,

My spirit wilted within.

But still, I stood there,

Like a statue made of stone.

Waiting for the day,

When I wouldn’t be alone.
